Orphanages serve as a crucial lifeline for vulnerable and impoverished children, offering them a safe haven and protection from the perils of exploitation and abuse. Our dedicated efforts extend to partnering with orphanages in Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, and India, aiming to rescue children from the streets and provide them with safety, security and a better quality of life.
Children’s Aid approach to orphan care and support is to partner with existing orphanages in areas of extreme poverty and destitution. The orphanages that we support receive little or no governmental aid and rely entirely on charitable donations. Not only do they struggle from month to month to make ends meet but they are constantly under pressure to accept more orphans. The support we provide, through your donations enables these orphanages to feed and care for the orphans they house. Above all, children in these orphanages are given a safe and secure habitat and a stable lifestyle that they would not find anywhere else.
The sad reality is that were it not for these orphanages many orphans would end up on the streets where they are at huge risk of exploitation, abuse, forced prostitution, trafficking, forced labour and slavery.

The Qur’an couldn’t be clearer about our responsibility as Muslims to show compassion and care for orphans; orphan charity is one of the most blessed ways to honour Allah (SWT) and give vulnerable children all the opportunities and love they deserve.
