Children’s Aid Provide Vital Supplies at Kamal Adwan Hospital
Children’s Aid recently conducted a key distribution of essential supplies at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza. It was a compassionate effort that brought tremendous relief to thousands of families with diapers, infant milk, and wet towels distributed amongst them. In reality, families in Gaza have been unable to acquire life’s necessities. The condition of infants and toddlers has become so debilitating and hopeless due to the constriction of resources and ongoing conflicts. Sensitized by the situation, Children’s Aid came forward with a mission to lend a helping hand.
The distribution event at Kamal Adwan was quite well organized and executed. Children’s Aid volunteers worked feverishly to ensure supplies arrived and were delivered quickly so that as many families could receive them.
This most basic, yet essential need, was met by providing diapers, so babies could be kept clean and dry. Diapering supplies were a priority with Children’s Aid because of the serious health complications that can arise without adequate diapering supplies.
An infant needs nourishing food for proper growth. This kind of scheme with infant milk was worthwhile so babies could get the most needed nourishment, more so in a place where food security is a major problem.
Sanitation is an essential aspect, more so with the cases of children, wet towels being in plenty for being hygienic and to prevent attacks from infections and illnesses.
As we look into the future, such an initiative shall be our motivation to change for the better in our communities and beyond.
