The world is watching Palestinians die like in a horror movie—raise your voice to help us.
16 May 2025
Gaza is a nightmare that never ends. Palestinians die with bombs and siege non-stop for more than 200 days. Civilians, particularly children, are getting injured every day in this daily humanitarian tragedy.
Even with the devastation, the global community is silent. The amount of aid is low, and basic supplies such as water and food are limited. Homes are destroyed, families displaced, and the emotional cost is high.
At Children’s Aid, we witness the trauma firsthand — children in fear, families mourning loved ones, and a community living on the brink of survival. The world needs to wake up to this tragedy and do something before more Palestinians die.
Not Just a Crisis—A Catastrophe
Headlines can’t depict the reality we are confronted with:
Children scouring rubble for their missing siblings.
Mothers are malnourished and dehydrated, nursing in bomb shelters.
Fathers are compelled to recognize their kids by pieces of cloth on broken bodies.
This is the ghastly reality of Gaza in the 21st century.
International Humanitarian Law is being repeatedly violated.
Gaza is still completely blocked off — no clean water, spotty electricity, no fuel, and restricted access to medicine. Phone lines get cut regularly.
Palestinians die each and every day under this unimaginable brutality. The world can no longer afford to turn a blind eye.
Mass Graves and Missing Families
In Gaza today, the destruction is worse than what many can even fathom. Bombing and siege relentlessly have left whole neighborhoods in ruins. The unthinkable truth is that Palestinians are having to bury their family members in mass graves—not out of their preference, but because there is no other choice.
Families are left in anguished suspense, often not knowing who lies in the ground. The inability to have proper funerals or mourning ceremonies contributes to their deep despair and trauma. It’s a painful reminder of how many innocent lives have been claimed.
Only recently, a Children’s Aid field worker relayed the agonizing tale of her cousin’s house in Rafah—reduced to rubble in one night by bombing. Even now, months afterward, no news comes of whether her family was killed. This is the heartless not knowing that befalls so many Palestinians today.
It is worse in northern Gaza. Following heavy shelling last month, more than 1,500 civilians, including many children, were killed, wounded, or missing under the rubble. Communication lines are severed, and humanitarian access is drastically restricted due to continued fighting, leaving many stranded without hope or assistance.
These moments of devastation and loss are no longer random occurrences—they are the stark reality for millions of Palestinians under siege. The world observes as Palestinians continue to die each day, caught in a vicious cycle of violence and desperation that seems endless.
The mass graves, the missing families, the shattered homes—each story is a call for urgent action and compassion. It is a human tragedy that demands the world’s attention and a renewed commitment to peace and justice.
Gaza’s Children Are Losing Their Childhood
We are a children-focused organization. And the truth is — children here are not living anymore; they are surviving.
They’re not learning, they’re not playing, and they’re not safe. Some don’t even talk anymore. The psychological price is too much to bear.
One young boy, almost 6, barely whispered to our staff, “Am I next?”
The World Must Do More Than Watch
The question on everybody’s mouth here is, “Why is the world quiet?”
Are our lives less valuable? Have we become another news scroll?
We know there are a lot of people out there — including those who support Children’s Aid — who care. We know there are protests underway. We know people are demanding a ceasefire. But it’s not yet enough.
You Can Still Help—But We Need Urgency
Let us not wait for the number of dead to mount even higher before we do something. We owe it to every child shaking in a corner, every parent suppressing their tears, and every human being who still believes in dignity.
